About Priscilla S. Asagiri (Priss)

priss with her helmet Priss is one of the heroines of BGC, a KnightSaber and singer. She lives in an abandoned hot pink trailer in a bad, deserted part of town, horseradish and mustard sandwich doesn't go well with linna creates horrifying sandwiches (horseradish and mustard, for one), and is your typical punk. She bikes fast, punches hard, doesn't answer questions directed to her, and sings in a rock band.

It is not known exactly why she signed on as a KnightSaber. "Some people like the risks. And then there's the money, of course. Didn't you know? Noble causes are all very nice, but frankly, if you don't have a real goal, you're just another Jane or Mary, just another sucker." priss singing However, it could also be because an earlier lover (the leader of her motorcycle gang) had been killed by a rouge boomer -- that would be a lot more reasonable for Priss' personality. This is also the reason why she hates the AD Police (because they failed to protect her boyfriend). However, even with her salary as a KnightSaber (which would probably be quite high), and the income from being a singer in Sekiria (which has a good number of frenzied fans), she's always broke.

She's mostly a loner, very deliberate (especially in fighting), and usually acts before thinking. (But she's usually thinking rather than talking.) She's not overly rude, but because she seldom talks, her social life tends to be very low, limited to the KnightSabers, Sekiria, and the few very determined fans (uhh Leon?). However, even with these people, the way she interacts with them are more to the line of officemates than actual friends.

Priss' fighting style

priss' killing blow Priss likes fighting, street-wise, where she learned to do most anything. Best described as hit-and-run, she goes in, leaves a hole in the boomer, gets out. If the boomer isn't dead yet, she goes in again and does the same thing. She's very level-headed in combat, doesn't talk much, and goes for either a disabling blow or a kill.

As said before, she's very deliberate, which also results to her not always following orders. You could also call impatient. She does the job as quickly as possible, and leaves. She doesn't like having to watch over the other KS. ("I don't work with amateurs.")

Priss' Hardsuit

Priss' hardsuit is blue, and is designed for close combat (she's usually the one who crushes the boomer's heart), especially for Priss' style of fighting. All the hardsuits of the KS are basically boomers.

priss' knuckle bombs activated Her hardsuit's concussion gloves determine how much movement she can do. When not fighting, the glove moves a metal plate mouted with five bombs (flat against the plate when not activated) into the back of her hand to allow finger movement. activated knuckle bombs When the wearer makes a fist, the plates move down to cover the impact area, like a brass knuckle. In this position, the wearer can choose to activate the charges -- three on the top and two below. When activated, these bombs rise from their previously-flat position; and upon contact with anything (i.e., the boomer), they blow off, outward, to prevent it from blowing a hole through the hardsuit itself.

ankle bombs, all flat ankle bombs, two activated In addition, her ankles are armed with six bombs, located on her ankle where it makes contact with a boomer when Priss kicks. It is distributed among four rows, alternating one and two bombs per row. It works just like the knuckle bombs. Her jumpjets aren't powerful enough for true flight but serve well enough jumping from building to building to get to the rouge boomer.

jump jets The hardsuit is powered for 50 hours, and when it's power runs out, the reserve battery will blow the hardsuit off the wearer. It is fusion-proof, fully sealed against nuclear, biological and chemical attacks. It has a comm range of 10km and sensor range of up to 1km.

priss riding the motoslave, motorcycle-mode She also has a moto-slave designed for her by Nigel, which is kind of an add-on to her hardsuit. It's red, and has two modes: the motorcycle mode lets her ride it with her hardsuit on, and interfaces with Priss' hardsuit, allowing her to configure the motoslave anytime. Near the series end, when it was transformed into a boomer, it could use the second mode, which is the hardsuit mode. This mode can work along with Priss' hardsuit, attaching itself behind her and gives extra power as well as enhancing most of her abilities. Priss develops a strong attachment to her moto-slave as well. Ü
